oh man. it's been really long since i last wrote here. haha have been.. erm.. lazy. =D 

just watched this movie called stepfords' wives. it was kinda scary... but it really showed the selfish side of man? or maybe human. 
men sent their highly capable wives, who are "over domineering" that they felt inferior to, to this stepford estate where their wives are changed into robots. >< and now .. their wives are PERFECT. submissive to their every needs and desires. 

they keep the house clean, do the house chores, always waiting on their husband, are good mothers, always smiling. oh man. it's so creepy. do you guys really want your wives to be PERFECT? such that they have no NO LIFE? just obeying all your commands and orders? life would be so boring >< 

oh well. but i still enjoyed the movie =) 

let's side track a little.. 

SCREAM was a HUGE SUCCESS !!!! congrats to all the councilors! 

feel bad for kicking the corpse >< cos one of them came to life. ops. whoever you are.. im sorry if i hurt you! was just checking whether the bodies were real. 

haha but i really had lots of fun. laughing and trying to recognise all the councilors. haha. and jiayi and jiaying were screaming like mad. haha i did scream too. hehe. but kelvin was so brave. walking in front of us. ahhh as for sijin. i have no comments. haha. he's not bad la. was at the back "protecting" us =))) 

heard they raised quite a sum. yay. what a great idea for charity =DD 

hmm have to start brainstorming ideas for ocip fundraising too. we need 1.5k. quite a big sum huh. 

but i shall start doing my op first. haha presenting on tue. ooo im so nervous. ;p

whoa. haven't written anything for such a long time. had been rather busy.. or hmm was kinda lazy to write. haha. 

yea.. just came back from faculty camp a few days ago! thought it was gna be some boring camp cos all that was in the programme is all the high elements stuff. those that i had done before in other camps. but much to my surprise, i enjoyed the camp a lot =) 

so all four faculty comm pp were there. we had to sleep on the floor in our sleeping bags.. with ants and other creepies crawlies.. but we were too tired at night to be bothered by them. haha i thought they would be nice to us and give us bunks la. but.. guess we shldn't be too pampered too. 

so first day. did rock climbing. ah ha. this im proud to say that i reached the top! for once man! haha. usually my rock climbing i would give up half way. cos no arm strength.. would be too tired to climb. but yay i managed all the way to the top. haha. feels proud. then we had dinner. hmm not very yummy but can make do with it. =) the plates n utensils plus cups are not that clean.. >< it's a training camp. so must make do with it! 

to be independent.. we had to wash the plates and clean up after every meal. and every morning we had to clean the toilets too. and there wasn't hose to spray the water.. so cleaning was kinda difficult >< ohoh. man.... there's no toilet paper in the toilets!!! fortunately yvonne left every night for home, so she brought two rolls for the girls. =D hehe

on the first night i was being hardworking.. =)) doing hundreds. when the guys outside the our dorm peeped in and started laughing >< made me so ma lu. haha. but nvm. so i stopped doing it. our dorms are just windows.. without any curtains.. so basically anyone outside can see what we are doing on the inside.. 

okay now second day. we did abseiling n flying fox. was looking forward to these two activities actually cos they are chicken feet to me. done them during obs and my sec 4 council camp. so i shldn't be scared. and obs one was so much more difficult and scary cos the height is greater. but sadly.. i kinda got freaked out when i climbed up the stairs to abseil down. it's only 3 storeys.. but it looked super freaky. then flying fox.. sigh. can't believe i cried. haha. but come to think of it. it was rather funny. haha. i thought it was gna be okay cos obs one was much much higher and i was not scared. but this time round the flying fox is steeper. i started crying >< then i kinda hung on to the pillar at the side.. wasted everyone's time. but the instructor, richard was super nice. he was so patient la.. comforting n encouraging me.. i could hear sean's laughter at the back though. >< haha. but in the end i jumped! haha not bad la . just tt i kept screaming. haha. 

had camp fire. =) quite fun. the faulty item was canceled due to lack of preparation time. so we did faculty dances instead. each fac has to do another fac's dance. proud of artemis. cos i think they were really good though we got fourth. ares dance is hard n to learn it within 45 min is really difficult especially for pp with no dance background. i rmb spending a few days learning it. then we had this activity called hot seat. super meaningful. it's like some sort of thrasing session but we talk abt the person's good points and area for improvements. more to the leadership styles.. 

got to know myself and my fac comm pp better through this activity. it's really constructive feedback =) 

next day. did some other high element stuff n challenge pole. this is kinda embarrassing too. cos i did challenge pole before in sec 4 and tt time i was not bad leh. i held on to the bar for quite long. but this time round. i only touched it n i slipped. carlos was good. haha he caught it with his armpits. haha. silly boy. okay the embarrassing part. i kinda stood on the pole for a long time... >< but come to think of it. my balance was pretty good haha. tt's why i was kinda comfortable just standing there. but i HAD to jump. everyone was waiting. shldn't be wasting pp's time. =) and i jumped! haha. gosh now everyone knows i have a phobia for height. ahh. im gna conquer it! 

ohohohoh. and mr teh was so super generous! he treated us to lunch the last day.. he just passed bryan 150 bucks. haha then we went rail mall to eat! =) not bad la the food. then the guys went off to play lan >< 

okay time for me to do my stuff. haha shall write next time. =)

lost my wallet on last sat on bus 963 on the way to harbourfront. so went to make my ezlink card and get a new sim card. when we got back home, i saw this man in his fifties standing outside my house gate, peering in. i was rather suspicious of him, wondering what's he doing outside my house. i asked "what do you want?" and he replied in chinese"did someone lose a wallet a few days ago?"  i took a few minutes to digest what he was saying cos my chin ain't that good and i started jumping with joy when i saw my purple wallet!! 

"everything is still inside" he said, in chinese of cos. i was like .. yay...thank you thank you thank you. haha. gosh. im so thankful to Lord! i met a kind soul! after talking to him for a while i realised that he picked up the wallet on sat and kept it with him as he had to go malaysia for some personal matters. and when he returned to sing, he didn't know what to do with the wallet. send it to the bus interchange.. it may take some time before the wallet can be returned to the owner, to the police station.. quite slow too. so he took it all the way to my house! haha so KIND!!! 

and guess what? he lives in my estate! just a few blocks away and he has a bro who lives in my block! oh man.. so many coincidences! but i really feel that he's an angel! he's so honest! haha. my dad wanted to offer him some money as a form of gradtitute, but he refused. then a drink, he refused too. food, he refused too. he came to return my wallet with only the purpose of hoping that it would get back to the owner and not for anything else. his honesty and sincerity totally touched my heart. 

the joy and gratefulness i felt totally overwhelmed me.. that i cried the moment i stepped into the house. i was so happy! God answered my prayer and He had watched over me! i was just so glad that i could see God's work. =DD 

when i first lost my wallet, i was rather upset as im usually quite careful with my personal belongings but i DIDN'T CRY =DD haha. cos im strong! haha shiin hui (prog ministry leader) and gerald (godbrother) prayed for me. so i was not afraid. im glad i put my faith in God. cos He will want the best for His children! yay. im so glad to be a child of God. haha Jesus love me! and you and you and you!!!! haha 

but one thing that im disappointed in myself is that i could have been more patient. haha then i wldn't have to spend money making the ezlink card. haha but it's okay la.. cos i got my wallet back! yay!! this wallet gonna be so special to me! cos it will serve as a memory that God showed His kindness to me. =D haha 

alright. school's starting tmr! and i haven't packed my bag. yawns. haha. was packing my room just now.. like tidying up the table.. it was so dusty! now my nose still itch a little. sneezes. haha. yay shall go to sleep le! can't wait for sabbacticals on wed! haha. tmr shall just make do with PE =)) 

GOD IS GREAT!

look into the mirror, and what do you see? your reflection. 
what is so special about this reflection that keeps people fascinated all day? do we not all have 2 eyes, 1 nose and a mouth? why do we human like to find fault in ourselves?

other times, when we are so fascinated with looks that we forgot the more important things in life. goodness of the heart; something that lies within. compassion, faith, love, trust. have we forgotten them all? why is it so hard to look within? does it take a lot of time just for a second look? 

just like a piece of pottery, it may look simple, not worth a second look you thought, but wait up. pick it up and give it a second look. it doesn't take much time... and maybe you will find the beauty that lies within it. 

good things are hidden. they can only be seeked, with a little time and effort. 

i hope to be such a seeker.

today's second day of TAG!! was super enriching. =))) 

my partner, karmen is a really friendly and outspoken person.. i think both of us work well tgt and we are really interested in this profession. =) 

aahhh. the doc we were attached to today was super inspiring. he's doc quek. haha same surname as me n karmen! what a coincidence right?! 

doc quek is a patient and understanding doc =) he teaches a lot. i think he's the only doc who didn't sound bitter about his profession? don't know what's wrong with dentistry.. is the job tt sucky? O.o 

haha oh anw.. saw doc quek cleaning this pocket of a old lady. she's so brave!!! there's lots of blood. really lots! was kinda scared at first.. but then you got used to it.. and you will just keep looking. not to sound saddist. but it's really INTERESTING =DD haha. yay. so actually im not tt scared of blood! =DDDD 

ahh i have lots more to write.. but i think i gtg first. there's too much to do =( so yea. shall continue tmr! one more day of TAG! so cool! haha 

ohoh wait. the people are super nice too. got to meet new pp. there's 6 of us from hci and 4 from acjc.. i only know 2 of the 4 acjc gals. didn't get a chance to know the other 2.. seldom see them around.. and coincidentally.. vanessa, the acjc gal lived in bukit panjang too! so we go home tgt !!! =DD haha

YAY!! BIO TEST is over!! GOSH. finally have time to write an entry la..  been so busy mugging for chem and bio test! hope i will do well! shall just leave everything to God! haha.

there's dance tmr! modern jazz is quite cool.. but there's a lot of wavy moves.. haha. you know the body roll and stuff.. which is kinda hard to do. never do so many at one time before.. haha but eve is sexy. haha she taught us how to do the double body wave thing.. 

dance night coming soon le! must prac harder! we have like 2 weeks left to the performance? and i keep forgetting my steps =(( too many brain cells died le. 

ohohoh.. tmr gg to .. erm.. what's restaurant is that.. to celebrate my ah ma's bdae!! we celebrating a week earlier.. haha. yay. i miss my ah ma. finally get to see her! she's super cute and she's 70 this year! but so sad.. can't really communicate with her cos i can't speak hokkien. =(( sobbs. want to learn at GEMS leh.. but it clash with dance night.. ahhhh. how how how. 

hmm mothers' day coming le.. what shall i do for my mummy?! her bdae is in may too! 17th! haha. hmm. must do sth for her.. Lord give me inspiration!
